It was at King’s College Hospital, London, that Paul completed his first training in Advanced Life Support. Later as part of the hospitals resuscitation team he attended emergency calls.
After moving to Saudi Arabia in 1997 Paul initially worked at Armed Force’s Hospital, Khamis Mushayt in the Acute Cardiac Unit and later as the Resuscitation Training Officer. Resuscitation Training courses were certified by the Saudi Heart Association in affiliation with the American Heart Association and Paul completed his Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider and Instructors courses. He also qualified as a Basic Life Support Instructor Trainer. Part of his role was to attend Cardiac Arrest and Medical Emergency calls in the hospital to assist with coordinating the response as well as auditing cardiac arrests.
